Summary: People may feel neglected when their iPods, cell phones and juice sap laptop batteries and die on the spot. Thus the Carnegie Mellon University hopes to shake up the electronics industry, among others, with new technology that would make batteries last longer and electrical power more reliable. Prashant Kumta, a professor of materials science and biomedical technology, said a team he heads has developed a new material to make electrochemical capacitors that can boost the power supply for electronic devices and improve the daily Technology electric automobile.
