Building a Better Battery - With Plastic

Summary: The Brown University engineers have developed a new battery that uses plastic, not metal, for conducting electric current. The hybrid combines the power of a capacitor storage capacity of a battery. A description of the prototype is produced in advanced materials.

"Batteries have limits," said Tayhas Palmore, an associate professor in the Division of Brown's technology. "They have to be refilled. They can be expensive. Above all, they do not provide much power. Another option is capacitors. The components found in electronic devices, can provide breath of this great power. Gift But they 't have a lot of storage capacity. So what if you combine elements of a battery and a capacitor?"
